Small buses to hit Madurai roads soon

Small Buses flagged off by our late CM J.Jayalilatha in Chennai last year was an instant hit among the commuters of Chennai city. It connected the sub-urbs to the  important areas and became a good feeder services for its residents.

There were requests for operating such small/mini buses from rest of the TN in their respective areas. Now its turn for Madurai city to get small buses. Below is the new Small Bus built on Ashok Leyland Viking 3900 WB by Dindigul region’s Vathlagundu Body Building unit. It will ply around Masi veethi’s of Meenakshi Amman Temple and connecting Periyar Bus stand which is the main city Bus station for the city of Madurai. It will run as a circular service between Periyar – Periyar connecting all Masi Streets. We hope that other places in Madurai City will also get connected by new Small Buses.

Masi veethi’s of Madurai are one way, so we may not have opposite services for this route like C1/C1, C3/C4 circular services in madurai. They can also plan such services in Veli veethi’s in future.

TNSTC Blog’s exclusive pics of yet to be introduced new Small bus of TNSTC-Madurai for Madurai city.
