போக்குவரத்து துறையில் ஃபோர்டு பேருந்துகள்
இந்த பேருந்து புகைப்படம் தம்பி @sam s Chella அவர்களால் பகிர்வு செய்யப்பட்டது கோனலாக கிடைத்த பேருந்து ஒரளவு மீள் உருவாக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டு உள்ளது அதன் அசல் உரிமையாளருக்கு நன்றி. 1987ம் ஆண்டு ஃபோர்டு பேருந்துகள் தமிழகப் போக்குவரத்துக் கழகங்களால் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. சென்னையில் உள்ள சிம்ப்சன் நிறுவனத்தினரால் விற்பனை செய்யப்பட்டது. முன்புறம் மற்றும் பின்புறம் இன்ஜின் பொருத்தப்பட்ட இரு மாடல்களில் பேருந்துகள் இயக்கத்திற்கு வந்தது. 6+1 சின்கரோமசை கியர் பாக்ஸ் பேருந்துகள் . பல்லவன் பாண்டியன் சேரன் போக்குவரத்துக் கழகங்கள் பெரும்பாலும் நகரப் பேருந்துகளாக இயங்கின. மற்றப் போக்குவரத்துக் கழகங்கள் புறநகர் சேவைகளாக இயங்கின. பட்டுக்கோட்டை அழகிரி ஆரணி சென்னை வழித்தடத்தில் இயங்கியது லைலாண்டு பேருந்துகளை விட சத்தம் அதிகமாகவும் இயக்கத்திற்கு சீரமமாக ஸ்டியரிங் அதிர்வு அதிகமாக இருந்தது எனவும் உதிரிபாகங்கள் சரிவர கிடைக்காத நிலையில் இயக்கத்திற்கு வந்த முன்று அல்ல நான்கு ஆண்டில் பேருந்துகள் நிறுத்தப்பட்டது. இதில் பாண்டியன் மற்றும் விதிவிலக்காக லைலாண்டு இன்ஜின் பொருத்தப்பட்டு சிறிது காலம் இயங்கியது.

Ford buses were introduced in almost all the STCs during 1987 and their engine sound was similar to Premier roadmaster. Simpsons, chennai was the ford dealer. Due to frequent break downs these buses were withdrawn within few years. Pallavan, Cheran, Pandian were running as city buses others run in mofussil route. these buses came with a 6+1 Synchronize Gear Box front and rear engine models, Steering Vibration were high and sounded louder than leyland buses. PRC tried to extend the life of ford buses by replacing the engine with old AL bus engines, but were scrapped after 2 -3 years. At that time buses were being registered in TCB. PRC ford buses were run in city bus routes, while PATC used it for for mofussil routes, very bad decision. PATC Arani – Chennai bus and the engine struggled a lot.
