Nanjil Raja First TNSTC Bus to get free WiFi On-board
After the implementation of 300+Km rule by TN Government a great loss for entire TNSTC Tirunelveli division as they lost many of their pride service to Chennai. These services of TNSTC rocked the highway with their sedate and safe driving inspite of having heavy competition from private Omni sectors, hometown depot TNSTC were fond of many frequent travellers. After a long request from public of Kanyakumari district 300 Km rule was slightly cut down to operate an low fare 3×2 service from Nagercoil to Chennai from Jan 2015. The rockers TN-74N-1719,1725 were put into service and it had a good response from public until UD replaced them a year and half back.
When UD transferred from SETC replaced 3×2 ordinary buses 1.5years back there were many difficulties in operating the service as the livery is same as SETC and no difference it were hard for public to differentiate their hometown buddy. The service had many struggle and continuous effort by Administration and Die hard fans of TNSTC Nagercoil (Nesamony) it came to limelight among commuters. First 555UD the route no of TNSTC Nagercoil were clearly highlighted on bus then their brand name Kumari Thendral, Nanjil Raja. Now it have regular commuters on both ends. It get huge responses on weekend.
Now its time to turn something techie and attract the current gen travellers to board the bus and grab the crowd from heavy omni markets the administration came up with a super duper idea of Free WiFi Onboard. A measure to increase the traffic and regular commuters to TNSTC Nagercoil. The first bus in entire TNSTC to get free WiFi. The Man behind this idea is Subramonian Pazhani BM of Ranithootam 2 Depot.
