An Innovation TNSTC Madurai New SLF City Bus
TNSTC Madurai have introduced 8 New SLF City Buses on Madurai, All the new 8 buses are built by TNSTC Madurai Body Building Unit located at Pasumalai. we first saw the news in Dinamalar which reported the city Bus as SLF, It made us some curiosity to know about the bus what type of SLF had been introduced. As usual our eyes rolled over on main city bus stands of Madurai and after two days of Inaugural., our Admin Dhandapani Krishnasamy spotted TN-58N-2325 which is alloted on 48AD Arapalayam – Thirumangalam route and just amazed with the finishing done by unit., the same was clicked by Hariharan Sreedharan.
A well cooked cake from Unit, body has been built on TATA LP1512 Chassis, Little wider body the interior and exterior were neatly done, the front and rear had been tried to match the SLF built in Private units. They have taken every good Parts – Seats, LED Route Display, Plastic Handles as a model from JNNURM SLF which is running in city, the entry exit had been placed very low for in and out on this standard chassis and matched the standard of an SLF.
The front profile resembles the old model of TN-58N-06xx buses which were doing circular services in Madurai. The stainless steel finishes over wheels are excellent. The only technology they didn’t tried is the Pneumatic doors. Really Amazed by the fit and finish of the work done by the unit without having any modern machines for fabrication a neat hand made work from TNSTC Madurai Pasumalai Body Building Unit again showed their best craftsmanship. For a common Public who doesn’t know about buses and models will surely feel the Deluxe Semi Low Floor SLF effect in this bus and the unit have succeeded in that too. A hearty congrats to the team who worked behind this innovation.
