New Small bus routes in Chennai
Small buses were introduced in chennai with a purpose of connecting CMBT, Metro stations, Suburban Railway stations, Alandhur, Ashok Pillar, Ashok Nagar, Tambaram etc., with the near by areas. In yesterday’s inauguration, 65 new small buses were added to MTC fleets. With the new small buses, 30 new routes were added and frequency of 2 routes got increased.
Following are the new small bus routes that got introduced with the addition of new buses from yesterday’s inauguration.
- S09 – Medawakkam to Radhanagar gate via Medawakkam good road, Nemmilicherri
- S10 – Chrompet to Jothi nagar via Nehru nagar, Rajakeelpakkam, Madampakkam
- S18 – Velacherry to Nanganallur via Velacherry Railway station, Puluthivakkam
- S19 – Hasthinapuram to Keelkattalai via Ponniyamman kovil street, Eachankadu
- S20 – Ramapuram to Ashok pillar via Tiruvallur road, Nesapakkam
- S36 – Nungampakkam to DMS via Loyola, Haddows road, Gemini
- S46 – Thirummulaivayil to Ayappakkam via Pachaiamman kovil, Ramasamy school
- S48 – Avadi BS to Chiranjeevi Nagar via Anna nagar, Senthamizh nagar, Balaji Nagar
- S49 – Tirunindravur Prakashnagar to Avadi via Balaji Nagar, Lakshmi nagar, Nagathamman Nagar
- S50 – Avadi to Poonamalle via Ramarathna, Arunachala Nagar, Parivakkam
- S51 – JJ Nagar west to Koyambedu Market via Vijaya Bank, Collector Nagar, Padikuppam
- S52 – Naduvankarai to Keelpakkam Medical college via Moovendhar Nagar, Peria Koodal, D.P.Chanthiram,
- S53 – JJ Nagar west to Maduravayol Erikarai via Nolambur, Iswarya Nagar, Vanagaram.
- S54 – Ayapakkam to JJ Nagar east via ICF, Akathipattu, JJ Nagar West
- S55 – Ayanawaram to Amainthakarai(Aminjikarai) – Water Tank, PuthuAvadi, Chinthamani
- S56 – Shanmugapuram to Retteri via Mettur, Sooraputtu, Senthil Nagar
- S57 – Korattur North to Perambur via Mohan Garden, T.K.Brothers
- S58 – Sungasavadi(Toll gate) to Vallalar Nagar via GA Road, Stanley underground path
- S67 – Brindhavanam nagar to Moolakadai via Sivaprakasham Nagar, Velammal College
- S68 – Moolakadai to Akaram via Thanikachalam Nagar, Kumaran Nagar
- S80 – Chrompet to Pammal Kamarajarpuram via New colony 6th Street, Lakshmipuram
- S81 – Chrompet to Pozhichalur via Venkateswara Nagar, Nehru Nagar.
- S82 – Alandur Metro station to Madipakkam Bus stand via Adampakkam police station, Ullakaram.
- S83 – Tambaram west to Perngalathur Railadi via Irumpuliyur, Church road, Peekankaaranai
- S84 – Tambaram west to Tiruneermalai via Mudichur road, Kannadapalayam
- S85 – Analandhur Metro station to Velacherry via Thillai Ganga Nagar, Vaanuvampettai
- S86 – T.Nagar to Nesapakkam via Madley road, Ashok Pillar, K.K Nagar.
- S87 – K.K Nagar to CMBT Metro station via Anna Main road, Sathiram
- S88 – Medawakkam good road to Pallikaranai via Kovilapakam, Viduthala Nagar
- S89 – Perungalathur to Mannivakkam good road via Vandalur bridge, Ramnagar
Frequency for the following routes has been increased..
- S26 – Ashok Pillar to Valasaravakkam via Jafferkhanpet, Ramapuram Alamaram
- S31 – Vadapalani to Koyembedu via Virugambakam, Chinmaya Nagar

Plz pass few buses from jj nagar east ro koyembedu..everyday all the people have ro go collector nagar(8/-) and from there again to cmbt(12-15/-) that too always without seat..also plz make sure that buses run ontime..s51 is not at all running…coz of this waiting time is wasted

im residing in nanganallur S85 service was good and i suggest S85 Timing should be 1/2 Hr once in morning 8:15 am to 10am and evening 6:30 to 8pm.

The small bus S 32 does not come near the Ayyappan temple and turns off at the main road.Its supposed to halt near the temple for 15 min The evening trip at 1600 does not come anywhere near the temple

I suggest a route connecting Marina, Besant nagar beach, Thiruvanmiyur beach. Via Ashtalakshmi Koil, Pamban swamy koil&Thiruvalluvar beach .

S85 which was running from Alandur Metro to Velachery bus stand via Thillai ganga Nagar , 2nd Main road Nanganallur and Vanuvampettai has been stopped suddenly causing much inconvenience people in Nanganallur and other nearby areas.Please restore it
