The Classic “Cheran”
Sharing one more classic “Cheran” logo of our beloved “Cheran Transport Corporation” aka “CTC” from good old days. Whenever we see this “Cheran” logo, it used to bring back our good old memories with CTC/Cheran. Recently we got this logo while roaming around. Our old logo’s were mainly from tickets. This time we got a very clear logo of Cheran.
Depot gates of old CTC depots still have this bow and arrow symbol of cheran. Old CTC branches like Udumalpet, Palani still have these logos in their gates. But, very rare to see the full logo with clear indication elsewhere. These logo will be become extinct in another few months or years.
Following is an old Cheran bus which we got from a Ananda vikatan 4 years back. Sharing that again for our viewers. Our friend “Anand D” shared us the information that these type of buses were unique and we had these registered in the series TCB 18XX to TN37 N 0050. My favorite bus in this style was TCB 1928 which ran from Pollachi to Udumalpet in R.No 51 operated by Pollachi-2 depot. That bus was the last one to run in that timings and when it was removed/scrapped, we havent got a replacement for the same.
