New buses from TNSTC in 2010 – Part 2 (TNSTC-VPM)
TNSTC-Villupuram is considered to be the profitable division among the TNSTCs. It has five regions namely Vilupuram, Kanchipuram, Thiruvannamalai, Vellore and Cuddalore. All these 5 regions added more than 300 buses this year.
TNSTC-VPM is the only TNSTC division which has Volvo fleets for intercity operations. Those volvo buses are transferred from MTC City services. They are fitted with new seats which has head rests. Volvos are inducted to TNSTC-VPM the year 2010.
TNSTC-VPM Volvos
Volvos are operated in
1. Chennai – Vellore
2. T.Nagar – Kanchipuram
3. Chennai – Pondicherry via ECR
4. Chennai – Trichy
5. Chennai – Hosur via Vellore
All the 5 regions added good number of fleets to each of them. Some of the new intercity buses by TNSTC-VPM are fitted with digital boards and are unique in design with respect to other TNSTC buses. Like the other TNSTCs TNSTC-VPM also didnt add any UD to its fleet in 2010. Second half of the year is still to come. Hope TNSTC-VPM will add more new buses in the second half.

Tnstc-VPM is very good in maintenance…their buses are running very high speed…..Compared to SETC Ultra delux buses TNSTC-VPM Ordinary buses are better ……But Now they increased their Ticket price One rupee for Trichy to Chennai but in others Rs.105 in ordinary bus…..In Tnstc-VPM it is Rs.106

in cuddalore region bus not have video systems.but other corporation buses have a video systems.in long journey very bore in this region buses.nowadays this region buses go high speed and it arrived correct timing.i congrats.i wants to video systems in buses in cuddalore region.

sir there is no buses in the route panruti to villupuram via karumpur during 7.15 pm to 9.30 pm. So kindly make arrangements to clear the above problem stated. I hope this will be done soon. thank you.

TNSTC (vpm) buses are very good design & running speed is very high.i like always thanthai periar bus. Because its very nice and high speed.i travel always TNSTC (vpm) buses. I want one request please don’t arrest FIP. 60KM speed is very bore. i congratulate to thanthai periar bus

I am from pondy and now the tnstc are operating these Volvo B7R model buses daily.
Today I checked the timings and from 06:00hrs to 22:00hrs they are operating the buses like one hour gap.
i.e. Every one hour – One bus.
And these volvo buses goes faster than s.e.t.c and tnstc buses.
As everyone knows this bus is used by mtc(if I was not mistaken). If the govt. provides these volvo buses with more comfortable seats, it would be very good.
And as for the price, from Pondy to Chennai its Rs.175

There are lot of opportunities for the new routes via Arani, say TVmalai to Chennai, via Arani, Arani to Trichy Via TV malai etc for the new fleets, and which are the essentials for people in the region. Hence check the feasibility as said above.

Dear Sir,
SETC buses operated from various districts at low speed, except some buses from Nager coil region. In nager coil they(nanjil Express) started at 5 pm and reaches chennai at 3.30 am I wondered about it, wthin 8 hrs they travelled around 750 Kms. Why other SETC cant do? I congrats this service equivalent to private volvo buses. .

Sir i am living in podathurpet town panch which is there in thiruvallur dist. here currently around 22,000 peoples are living inside the podathurpet. and this area surrounding is more than 40,000 peoples are living. the thing is here not there proper transport facility. everyday thousands of peoples are going to chennai,vellore,kanchipuram, chittor,and thirupathi. but there is no busses for correct time and also not there for direct busses. reacently TN GOVT was opened bus depot in podathurpet. but they didnt give separate buses to this depot . so i am requesting you for kindly do something as well as possible. and also here there the route name is SH-106 from thiruttani to pallipet via podathurpet. already buses are going from pallipat to chittoor and thirupati. please that you can extend to podathurpet. and also the main thing is chennai to thirupathi NH205 . under this route some towns are coming like thiruvallur, thiruttani, nagari, puttur,and thirupathi. route is there. in that from thiruttani to nagari 15km and no other stops are there. and also from thiruttani to podathurpet 20km. from podathupet to nagari 13km. if the route wil come and joint from thiruttani to thirupathi via podathurpet, nagari means (it wil take extra 25 mins only) all the chennai & kancheepuram buses (which is going to thirupathi. and coming from thirupathi) wil take divertion from thiruttani to thirupathi via podathurpet, nagari. please kindly you can connect this route from thiruttani to nagari via podathurpet and puthur thirupathi. and you can divert the busses to podathurpet via which is gong to thirupathi. it wil help us please sir. and also from arcot to thirupathi there is no direct route. you can joint this also from arcot to thirupathi via sholinger, podathurpet, nagari, putthur. pls help to improve podathurpet. this is my umble request sir please forgive me if i did any mistake. because i dont no how to write letter properly. i need to improve my native place. because i am proud of this doing for my native place.

am arulprakash from kurinjipadi in cuddalore district.sir peoples in tamilnadu dont know whether the cuddalore district are there.transprt facilities from cuddalore is very bad. Especially in peak times and festival times. There are much more passangers are available to go to chennai,madurai, covai and especially for hosur and bengaluru.but there is only two buses are available to bengaluru madurai covai. We want more buses to covai bengaluru madurai. All the didtricts are having super deluxe buses. But for the cuddalore it is not available. Please provide super deluxe buses from cuddalore to chennai madurai covai bengaluru. Make a new trip to nellai nagercoil kumuli ooty by super deluxe buses. Please I kindly request you, dont omit the cuddalore. Take in mind its a district. And also in kurinjipadi buses are available to inportant cities. But it is not reached the surrounding citizens. Please make the bus timing board at kurinjipadi bus stand.
