TNSTC charts out daily schedule of two-hour exercise to keep them physically, mentally fit

Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) has made a conscious effort to help its drivers manage stress and tension by organising yoga and meditation classes for them daily. A team of yoga experts has been roped in to conduct yoga and meditation classes for the drivers of the TNSTC, Tiruchi region, encompassing Tiruchi, Perambalur, Ariyalur and Karur districts.
Yoga exercises were being conducted every morning for two hours at the sprawling TNSTC region office at Periyamilaguparai to keep the drivers physically and mentally fit before they set out on their daily task.
The corporation has charted out a daily schedule for the TNSTC drivers to undergo yoga classes in batches from Monday to Saturday.
The TNSTC, Tiruchi region, accounts for a fleet strength of 1,428 buses operating in a little over 1,300 routes every day with the strength of the drivers being 3,500.
